The use of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs by Iowans has damaging effects that can last a lifetime. The media can help communities get the word out—and help make a difference in the lives of Iowans—by joining the Iowa Red Ribbon campaign to support and publicize Red Ribbon Week, October 23-31, 2008. More than 80 million people across the country are expected to participate and show their support for healthy, drug-free lifestyles. This year’s theme is “Ask Me, See Me, Be Me...
